Capitol Advantage's Public Service Site on the Shortlist for Top International Honor

FAIRFAX, VA - April 9, 2003 - Capitol Advantage®, the leading provider of online advocacy tools and Congressional publications, is pleased to announce that its public service web site, Congress.org, is a finalist for Best Politics web site of 2003 by The Webby Awards®.

Hailed as the "online Oscars" by Time Magazine (May 13, 2002), The Webby Awards are determined by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences®, a diverse organization that includes over 420 members such as musicians Beck and David Bowie, Internet inventor Vint Cerf, political columnist Arianna Huffington, and "Simpsons" creator Matt Groening.

"The Webby Awards honor the outstanding web sites that are setting the standards for the Internet," said Maya Draisin, executive director of The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences. "Congress.org's Webby Award nomination is a testament to its great contributions to this increasingly powerful medium."

"Capitol Advantage is dedicated to helping people change the world through civic participation", says Bob Hansan, founder and President. "Our flagship Capwiz™ product powers the e-advocacy Web sites of more than 1200 organizations, and Congress.org makes many of the same capabilities available to individuals", he continued. "Congress.org enabled Americans to send over 500,000 messages to their elected officials media in 2002, and this volume is on track to increase by 50% in 2003."

"And we are also pleased to note that two other Webby nominees in the Activism category are clients of Capitol Advantage and use our Capwiz product," Hansan added. "We congratulate ActForChange and Voice Yourself for achieving this honor."

As nominees for a Webby Award, Congress.org, ActForChange and Voice Yourself are also eligible to win a People's Voice Award. Voting is open to the public from April 8 to May 23 at http://www.webbyawards.com/peoplesvoice, and you can vote for one site in each category. The winners of The Seventh Annual Webby Awards and People's Voice Awards will be announced on June 5, 2003 in San Francisco.
